Beowulf

Beowulf
"Nor have I ever seen,/ Out of all the men on earth, one greater/ Than has come with you; no commoner carries/ Such weapons, unless his appearance, and his beauty,/ Are both lies."

Boast

Gather fellow learners who surround me—
For I am Stephen Torry, dweller of little farms.
From the land of the Saints, here in New Orleans.
Son of Stephen Torry, designer of towns,
And Jenifer Torry, keeper of books. Brother of Rayne,
Master of aggravation and annoyance.
From the Crescent City I come! I grunt!
Snapper of snapping, runner of trails,
String rider through forests, and pilot of the Road cruiser.
Sneaky Stephen is what they call me—
Playing pranks on family members arouse me.
I shall be the best engineer—
Fixing and designing everything in need.
A rhythm giver, I sing sweet melodies.
I’m a people-pleaser, everyone loves me.
History repeats itself, I would know—
Someday I shall be written in those textbooks.
Gold catcher, I strive for the best—
I chase down competitors and see if they passed the test.
There will be many moons till the day I am beaten.
